Gun clubs throughout Ireland play a vital role in the conservation and development of game habitat though out the countryside. There association is the largest organisation in Ireland involved in game shooting and conservation with almost 1,000 clubs in every parish. | ||
Coursing |

Coursing has a long tradition in rural life, the Irish Coursing Club was founded in 1916. It pits the skills of two greyhounds against each other in a very regulated and controlled way. | ||
Point to Point / Racing |

The lifeblood of the National Hunt racing is steep in the Point to Point races which are run by the Hunt clubs each year. This is the proving ground for such greats as Best Mate. Our world renowned Jockeys like Paul Carberry learn their trade on the hunting field. | ||
