Punchestown Festival to show support for Hunting The first day of the annual Punchestown Racing Festival, Tuesday, 20th April, will feature a display of horses and hounds in support of hunting. At 3.15 pm, representatives of the Ward Union Hunt and the Woodstown Harriers, who led the recent RISE! demo in Waterford, will parade with hounds in front of the stands. They will assemble at the Kildare Hunt Kennels in Punchestown and come down the track. The Woodstown Harriers will be first, followed by the Ward Union. The RISE! campaign was formed last January by sixteen organisations representing an estimated 300,000 fans of traditional rural sports.
